Gold Vermeil Bud to Bloom Earrings
Inspired by the magic of blooming spring foliage, artist Emma Stricker of Emma Anne created a pared-down modern version to adorn your ears. Meticulously handcrafted in sterling silver and dotted with 18-carat gold vermeil petals, these earrings have a clever twist. They can be worn in two different ways, making them truly unique. Wear them in the ‘bud’ form with the petals facing downward, or unclip the clasp below the shepherds hook and turn the earring upside down to display the ‘bloom’ form, with the petals tipping upward.

- Handmade in South Africa by artist Emma Stricker
Emma Anne is based in Cape Town, South Africa and all the jewelry is designed and handcrafted by Emma Stricker. The pieces Emma designs push the boundaries of traditional jewelry by using metals in different ways, creating jewelry that is fresh and exciting. Two of her major inspirations are the natural world and origami, by creating a few simple folds in metal and repeating these in various patterns, she can achieve an array of simple pieces with a structured, geometric feel. Although Emma uses silver predominantly as a medium, select pieces also incorporate semi-precious stones and colored resin. Her work has been featured in Glamour, Cleo and Prestige Magazine.
Of her career in jewelry she says, “I feel like I’ve found my true calling and I absolutely love the work I do which I think is fundamental in life. I really love the concept of being able to not only design something, but also be responsible for creating it. There is without doubt an awesome feeling in putting so much of yourself into an idea and then, in the end, having something really beautiful to show for it.”
